Bentley Laptop

Bentley laptop from Ego for Lifestyle

Each is hand built, with authentic Bentley cross-over hand-stitching. And the colour schemes match those of the famous luxury cars. The inside metal reflects the paint job on the outside, while the outer leather is taken right from the seats.

The insides of the beauty hold Microsoft Vista, a 64 bit processor, and a 160GB hard drive along with 12 direct access keys.

Expect to see it on sale later this summer at Selfridges for about £10,000.

Harry Winston Z4 Watch

Harry Winston have unveiled their Z4 watch which is part of their Z Collection of complicated watches. The Z4 case is made of zalium (an alloy of zirconium used to make surgical tools and jet engines) whilst the display is made of sapphire crystal. The Z4 displays two time zones with a day night indicator for each as well as a innovative date indicator. Harry Winston will make only three hundred Z4’s and they will be available exclusively from Harry Winston stores.

By pressing the repeater-style trigger on the left side of the case, you can click from one time zone to the next.
The easy-to-read date, quick-set by the crown, is framed vertically in the interplay of discs for the minute display and hour.
Completing the indicators is the tiny rotating shuriken symbol — a multi-bladed throwing weapon, a feature of all Project Z watches — which shows that the movement is functioning normally.
The sophisticated time-zone module was constructed in-house by Harry Winston on a robust, self-winding calibre.
Blue on carbon black or white on anthracite grey balance clarity and discretion on four levels of the dial.
Zalium is the hard, light, zirconium alloy of which Z watches are crafted. Developed for use in jet engines, its hypo-allergenic properties and extreme resistance to corrosion make it ideally suited for watchcases.

IWC The Grande Complication Watch

IWC The Grande Complication

Production limited to 50 watches per year

The vital statistics: 659 mechanical parts (71 of them jewels) and 21 functions and displays, including a perpetual calendar for the next 500 years, together with a perpetual moon phase display made of polished goldstone representing a star-studded night sky. Working inside the case are a chronograph and a highly complex minute repeater activated through an all-or-nothing piece slide. This wonderful invention chimes out the time in crystal-clear tones, which are activated by the slide on the left-hand side of the case. Two tiny, precision-made hammers are released and chime the time in hours, quarters and minutes on two gongs. The striking mechanism is a technical tour de force. Initially, the chimes were inaudible outside the solid platinum case, so the glass was freely suspended on a platinum membrane to enable it to amplify the vibrations produced by the gongs via the sound transmission pin. The case, too, finished in solid platinum with a fineness of 95 percent or 18 ct. rose gold, is first-class. Despite the complex design of the case, the Grande Complication is unaffected by superficial water splashes.

Hautlence HLs Watches

Hautlence is a new brand that was introduced in Baselworld last year. The new HLs is very impressive. The HLs collection is a bit more masculine and rugged than the previous incarnation. Rubber straps and brushed steel give the watches a more modern look and they have changed the shape a bit so it doesn't have that television style look as much anymore. The watches use jump hour discs and retrograde minutes to create a three-dimensional timekeeping experience all within a distinctive looking case. The watches are a limited edition of 88 pieces and come in titanium, white gold, pink gold with alligator straps and rubber bands. They are water resistant to 50 meters and have sapphire crystals.

Clerc Odyssey

GÉrald Clerc descends from a long line of jewel-lers and watchmakers dating back to 1874. A few years ago, he began designing and distributing a line of his own watches. Timekeeping is nothing new for his family, which has always created watches, in association with Rolex, Vacheron Constantin, and Jaeger-LeCoultre until the end of the 1970s, and after that, independently. But GÉrald Clerc, himself, had new ambitions. He wanted to create a true watch collection under the name Clerc. From the beginning, his offer was essentially based on a unique case. It was a striking model, a sort of bold octagon, but with rounded angles and softened lines. Concentrating mainly on the challenging American market, Clerc was able to make significant inroads, opening up over 40 high-end stores. Today, Clerc has returned to Switzerland where he is reorganizing his activities and focusing on the international market with more complicated models.

Another new remarkable collection is the sophisticated Icon 8. Pure, eminently chic, well proportioned, and exuding a very contemporary elegance, this model is available with or without various complications: power reserve indicator, large date, large date and second time zone, and an oversized vertical-bridge tourbillon. It is also presented in a very lovely skeleton version (also very contemporary) or in a limited edition with hand painted ceramic dials. Like a couturier, Clerc carefully chooses the colours of his dials, in order to obtain the greatest degree of refinement and delicacy. The renewal of the brand does not stop with these products. The CXX Diamonds line demonstrates that the Clerc case lends itself easily to all types of stone setting. The introduction of the CXX Plongeur, expected to be very sporty and ‘raw’, is planned for 2008. A new feminine line is also in the works, which will be mechanical but not overly technical. The beginning of the odyssey Clerc has announced that it will produce 4,000 to 5,000 pieces per year. But this volume is not expected to rise dramatically since the average price of the collections is going to increase. The Odyssey, for example, will begin at around CHF 14,000(USA $13,728.).Because of the brand’s move upmarket, Clerc has decided that distribution will be more selective. Besides the United States, the Caribbean and Switzerland, the brand is present in Asia, most notably Japan where it is very well positioned and is drawing a great deal of interest from the trade press. Clerc timepieces are currently being introduced in the Middle East and they will soon launch in Russia and Italy. It is the beginning of something that could very well become a true Odyssey.

Azimuth Watches

Azimuth SP-1 Mechanique concept watch.

Its enigmatic jet-black dial is showered with tiny specks of white like stars on clear night. At ‘6’ is a rendition of planet earth, a globular decorative feature that makes one rotation every 60 seconds to give one the impression that he is viewing the planet from afar in outer space. Matching the mesmerizing dial design is its equally ingenious jumping hour display. Powered by a Unitas 6497 movement finely finished in Cotes de Geneve stripes, a rotating disc, framed by the short end of the 3-dimensional minute hand, is a jumping hour complication. Highly stylized, the broad minute hand comes finished with a skeletonized outline that resembles a space shuttle hurtling across the universe. A breathtakingly sculptural masterpiece, the SP-1 Mechanique mimics the profile of a spacecraft’s cockpit. Its 45mm stainless steel case with elongated lugs is capped by a domed sapphire crystal to lend the watch a multi-dimensional look. The avant garde case design then is topped with a giant crown at ‘12’ that is guaranteed To send fans of whimsical horological excursions over the moon. More via timezone
